Many web developers know them. Apps, which create statistics about one’s website. But there are quite a lot services which do that. I’ll show you 3 tonight. Google Analytics, Reinvigorate and Observerapp. I even tested Getclicky but it was
great not very good and pretty expensive.
Google Analytics offers everything you need. Detailed visitordetails (Like Browser, OS, Flash Version, Screen resolution, and so on), Traffic sources (From which website those visitors came & Keywords) and Content (Which pages those visitors were looking at and how often). Additionally you can add Goals/Aims. But one thing I miss is, that the statistics are not live. They are at least 3 hours behind (if you choose the present day). But I can really recommend you Google Analytics. It has a lot to offcer, great overviews and you are really able to check what is going on on your site.
Reinvigorate is my favorite. But only in connection with GA. The statistics are live, you have a overview of the latest visitors (Which page they were looking at and from which page/website they came) and Keywords of course. Another genius feature: Heatmaps. But they are only available if you pay for the Premium Account, which is 10 $ per month. I miss the great overviews which Google Analytics offers. That’s why I use both at the same time.
Observer is also very good. But it is the weakest candidate which you will find here. It offers almost the same features as Reinvigorate but I think the statistics are not correct sometimes. That is why I recommend it only partly. But it is free. I would also suggest using GA together with the Observerapp. This app also offers live statistics.
I recommend using Google Analytics and Reinvigorate (In Freebie-mode) together. Both complete eachother. They offer great statistics and overviews and also live-tracking.
